Strategy deployment
"If you don't know where you are going, any path will take you there” (Sioux)
Unleashing the power of purpose
Focus on a shared goal and strategic planning are critical success factors for any organisation, both private as public, to be successful in the long run. Without, it will be very hard to create the required alignment and company-wide commitment.
Strategy deployment is about planning your business for the future, starting from the Vision (“what do we want to realise? what is our future desired state?”) and Mission (“what is our purpose, our reason for existence?”).
Values are the key beliefs of your organisation, which will define the culture and drive the priorities.
The strategy will include the objectives and targets, as well as the way you want to achieve them.
We can guide and support you in deploying the strategy, in the different steps you might need to take
Vision, Mission, Values
- Test the clarity and coherence of the vision, mission and values.
- Develop or rework. Craft clear, SMART mission statement and vision statement.
Strategy
- Test the clarity and coherence of the strategy.
- Situational analysis: evaluate current state and context.
- Identify or review the goals and objectives. Strategic and operational objectives. Short term, mid term and long term objectives.
- Identify and select the appropriate measures, define the targets.
- Develop the high level strategic plan: what will it take to achieve these objectives.
Deployment
- Develop the business architecture, establishing the link between the strategy and the operational execution. The business architecture includes:
- the contextual architecture: what is the value we want to deliver?
- the value proposition: which products & services, through which channel?
- the process architecture: what processes do we need to deliver?
- the organisation architecture: how is our organisation structured to execute this?
- the business information architecture: what information do we need?
- the business principles: key underlying business rules.
- Develop the strategy map: connect strategic objectives with the measures, establish the interconnection between the different aspects of the Balanced Scorecard (see Performance Management).
- Design and implement the business and process dashboards required for continuous performance management
- Roadmapping. Execute a gap analysis between the targets and the current state, and define projects and actions.
- Setup and implement the strategic planning processes: strategy-based decision making on resource allocation, project portfolio management.
- Implement the dynamics and governance for Continuous Improvement
